Review: Duck Smart Earth Mover and Smart 'n' Ezee Bike Cleaner

The first time we heard anything about Duck Smart was back at the Cycle Show in Birmingham a few months back. We caught up with the Duck Smart guys on their stand for a demo of their products and chat and left with some samples.

Duck Smart haven't been around for too long, 2010 to be precise. They have their origines planted in  a company called Ankon who have a long dynasty in supplying industrial cleaning chemicals to companies all over Europe.  Duck Smart have borrowed their expertise to make some of the best cleaning products in the game. As of yet they haven't made a massive splash in the mountain bike scene yet, but they hold a good presence in the motocross and speedway world and lets face it those guys that get pretty muddy, so you know it must be good! It won't be long until you start to here of Ducksmart a bit more!

We've been using two products from Duck Smart since the show for all our cleaning needs. The Earth Mover bike cleaner and the Smart "n" Ezee Waterless Detailer and here's what we think of them.

First up we have Earth Mover which you use in much the same way as you would use any other chemicals. Wet your bike and just spray it on. The Earth Mover has a cool dual nozzle that means you can choose if you want a spray or dense foam that sticks in those hard to reach places. The foam works fantastically well, so much so we haven't ever used it on the spray mode! Wash the foam off with clean water and a brush and all the mud just comes with it. It works in one application with hardly any waiting around, exactly what we look for in a bike cleaner.

It has some added bonuses as well.  It smells great so now there's never an excuse for your ride not to smell pleasant out on the trails and it's really soft and gentle on your hands. Its safe to use anywhere on your bike and if it accidentally strays on to brake pads and rubber suspension seals you won't have to worry as its even safe on there!

Next up we have the Duck Smart Smart "n" Ezee, a waterless cleaner. Spray it on, wipe it off with a micro-fibre cloth and the dirt comes with it. It's hard to say anything else about it because its that good. It does exactly what it says on the tin and is probably one of the best cleaning products we've ever used.

It's versatile as well. It can be used on all parts of your bike and in other walks of life such as car windscreens to get the grease off for a streak free finish, alloy wheels and its even safe to use on the plastics.  Once again just like the earth mover we tested it smells great!

My only complaint... Its only available in either a tiny 500ml bottle or 25L drum. We want a 5L top up sized bottle!

The Verdict...

Duck Smart are some of the best cleaning products we have ever used. They even smell good which is always a bonus... You'd be quackers not to use it!
